On how to spread the wrong message about the ongoing Rio+20 negotiations
In this article, the esteemed Rio+20 Head of Office, Nikhil Seth,
“described the atmosphere during negotiations on the outcome document as “extremely positive,” even though there are concerns that they are happening too slowly, with just one day left to reach an agreement.”
In reality, very little progress has been made. Though negotiators reiterate in each session they have a better understanding of eachothers red lines, there are few crucial paragraphs they truly agree on.
Perhaps this UN reporter should actually talk with some of the people attending the sessions instead of copypasting the official mumbojumbo…
